Join an online group, find a friend who is going through the same thing, talk to close friends and family. Talk about your struggles, successes, and your goals. One the days when you aren’t meeting with your group or talking to them, write things in a journal and try to give yourself more accountability.


4. Take Before and Afters

Yes, this is a depressing thing, but this is one of the best ways to show yourself how much progress you have made.

Numbers on a scale fluctuate based on if you are gaining muscle or fat, and factors such as water retention and BMI.

Being able to see what you actually look like, and what your hard work has accomplished will help you to stick with it and reach your long-terms goals.


5. Eat Smaller Portions

This is absolutely essential.

So much of eating is a habit. If you usually eat an entire foot-long sandwich, you will probably order one out of habit.

If you instead get a 6-inch sub and a large cup of water, and eat slowly, you might be surprised that you feel just as full.

Initially, it can be hard to cut back. Some diet pills can help to naturally suppress your appetite, but make sure that you find all-natural products and recognize that eventually, it is up to you whether or not you want to limit your food intake.
